Kit's mother is a minor character in SELF/LESS. She does not appear in the book.

Whereas Ms Trist herself is not present in the book, she is mentioned by her daughter, Kit. Mrs Trist was announced as 'infected' by the City Council and ran for refuge to the Underground whilst pregnant with Kit. She fell ill and had Kit, though she died shortly after from a chest infection.
